# Release history

One version for the site and the extension, in `admin/build/version.txt`. A push to `dev` is a minor release (`v0.3.1` → `v0.3.2`); only a push to `main` is a major one (`v0.4.0`). CI validates, runs the tests, tags `vX.Y.Z` on the commit whose subject carries it (`site vX.Y.Z: ...`), then publishes the site from `dev`.

| Version | Date | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| v0.3.2 | 3 November 2026 | **Capture works the way Chrome allows** (the first real call): the icon click is handled by MeetScribe, which opens the panel and remembers the tab; Start captures that tab; errors stay on screen. **13 of the [v0.3.1 review](../reviews/index.md)'s 18 findings fixed, 4 more in part, 1 open**, each pinned by a test: deletion stops capture (01), mute applied on the audio thread (02), honest privacy wording (03), Stop no longer blocks on a dead network (04), a fixed key resumes a live recording (05), startup rollback (06), storage failures surfaced (07), empty transcriptions are gaps (08), echoes kept in the debrief's input (09), the debrief stays with its meeting (10), Save and test (11), labelled controls (12, in part). **Privacy, stated plainly:** client-side on our side only; once audio reaches OpenRouter we cannot see or verify what happens to it; not for confidential meetings during the beta. 61 tests. |
| v0.3.1 | 3 November 2026 | The site moves to its domain, [meetscribe.chrome-extension.voicedebrief.ai](https://meetscribe.chrome-extension.voicedebrief.ai/) (brief v2.0, open question 1, answered): canonical links, `og:url`, `sitemap.xml`, `robots.txt` and absolute URLs in `llms.txt`, all built from the `CNAME` file; the extension's homepage points at it; the gate checks they agree. A **download** for testers (`releases/meetscribe-latest.zip`, byte for byte `extension/`, loaded by a test as a tester would), a tester-first home page and README, a test-report issue form. CI: a push to `dev` must be the next minor and only `main` may be a major. The first run of this release failed on a test racing the first-run options page; fixed, and failures now print their reason. 45 tests. |
| v0.3.0 | 3 November 2026 | Aligned with voicedebrief.ai: its colour schemes (all five, chosen on the options page, and the gate refuses colour outside them), its brand and BETA mark, its sentences on where audio goes and on model transcripts, its key guidance. **The debrief**: voicedebrief.ai's summary prompt made for a meeting, in its four locales, with `google/gemini-3.5-flash`, every point timed back to its line; in the exports. [Build, test and release](../develop/index.md) and [MeetScribe and VoiceDebrief](../voicedebrief/index.md) pages. The test runner asks for TAP by name (Node 24 on CI changed the default reporter). 44 tests. |
| v0.2.0 | 3 November 2026 | The first MVP of the extension: tab capture played back on your device, an opt-in microphone with its own mute, 16 kHz taps cut at pauses, every segment checked and persisted before it is sent, the OpenRouter queue with leases, retries and the key check, the side panel, options and meetings pages, exports. 38 tests (Node and Chromium). CI now validates, tests, tags and deploys. Site: [install](../install/index.md), [what is built](../built/index.md), this page. |
| v0.1.0 | 3 November 2026 | The site: the review of brief v1.0, brief v2.0, the plan, the models snapshot, the sources. No extension. |
